Alex is a National Master and FIDE certified trainer with 25 years of experience working with children. He has trained many Connecticut chess champions and also teaches chess in many local public and private schools including Darien, Stamford, Greenwich. Alex is also a president of NECA (National Educational Chess Association.) NECA runs Scholastic Chess Tournament in the area. Alex is an active tournament player himself.

And most importantly, Alex is excellent with children. He encourages and inspires children to believe in themselves, to love to learn and master their skills, to not give up, to know they can succeed, and to have fun while learning.
